I run more quickly than you.
And yes, there are some chumps in suits earning many times more thanbrain surgeons in the City.

One of the crewmembers of Andrea Gail, Bobby Shatford, has a divorce lawyer to pay off and a new life to build with his girlfriend, christina
A:I’m afraid to flying.
B:I can relate to that. I have nightmares about plane crashes.
A:I have trouble relating to Carol.
B:Maybe it’s because she’s 30 years older than you.
162. On a moment’s notice 臨時(shí)通知
Notice是“通知,注意”的意思,on a moment’s notice指“到了最后一刻,才臨時(shí)來(lái)的通知”。
A:He’s a great doctor. He’s always there on a moment’s notice.
about five miles per hour(每小時(shí)大約5英里)
at least ten yards away(至少有10碼遠(yuǎn))
hesitated for a moment or two(猶豫了片刻)
I have warned you a hundred times(我已經(jīng)警告你多少遍了。)
本題正確答案為E,E選項(xiàng)在or后面使用to profit,顯然是和前面的to achieve fame構(gòu)成了動(dòng)詞不定式的平行。
2. 關(guān)于like/unlike/similar to/compared with/in comparison with的問(wèn)題

2. You won’t meet someone new in your living room
Well, maybe a cute guy will deliver your new sofa, but chances are you’re going to meet someone by getting out there and trying new thingsonline dating, taking a class, etc. Tell everyone, especially your married friends, that you’re looking to meet someone and ALWAYS go to parties. Many women met their husbands on blind dates, and you can too! If you’re not sure you want to sit in a noisy restaurant, go out and do something fun. One of my friends went to a baseball game, and she and her date each brought a friend. They had a blast and got married one year later.
5. Time is on your side
Take your time in getting to know your guy and don’t feel in a rush to meet his children or have him meet yours. It starts with the two of you. Make sure this is someone you want in your life.
