首先，快速閱讀掌握大意。不管平時閱讀還是考試做閱讀題，學生們應(yīng)帶著問題快速瀏覽從中尋找答案。把握關(guān)鍵詞是必要的。通過關(guān)鍵詞來推理文章的思路和作者的態(tài)度。如果閱讀文章時，閱讀速度太慢，就會出現(xiàn)看了下句忘了上句，對文章沒有整體把握，結(jié)果只見樹木不見森林。另外，閱讀時，特別是第一次閱讀可以跳讀。千萬不要一字一句地讀。閱讀時，可以以詞組或短語為單位。當然，僅讀一遍難以全部領(lǐng)會文章的意思。必要時，可以多讀幾遍。第一次，要快讀;第二次以后，可以仔細地讀。

第二，不要一遇到生詞就查詞典，要學會猜詞。如果一遇到生詞就查詞典，這樣會影響閱讀速度。另一方面，一個單詞往往會有許多意思，有時不聯(lián)系文章特定的情景，很難確定生詞的確切含義。學生們可以根據(jù)上下文和構(gòu)詞法等規(guī)則去大膽地猜這個生詞在文中可能是什么意思。如能猜中詞意，那么學生會對閱讀英文文章興趣倍增，會有成就感，這樣對提高英語水平非常有益。
