Relate to 也可以用來表達(dá)“溝通上有共識(shí)”。若是“代溝”(generation gap),或是觀念不同而溝通上的,你就可以用上下面的這句話。
A:I have trouble relating to Carol. 我跟卡羅溝通很難。
B:Maybe it’s because she’s 30 years older than you.
或許這是她比你年長(zhǎng)三十歲。
162. On a moment’s notice 臨時(shí)通知
Notice是“通知,注意”的意思,on a moment’s notice指“到了最后一刻,才臨時(shí)來的通知”。通常醫(yī)生是最容易被臨時(shí)通知出診的行業(yè)了。

SAT真題特別喜歡在復(fù)數(shù)謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞前弄個(gè)復(fù)數(shù)名詞來迷惑考生,其實(shí)雖然這個(gè)復(fù)數(shù)名詞和句子的謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞雖然放在一起,但二者間無任何實(shí)質(zhì)聯(lián)系。我們要牢牢記住,句子的主語(yǔ)后一旦有逗號(hào),則謂語(yǔ)部分只能在第二個(gè)或第三個(gè)逗號(hào)后。所以,碰到這類試題時(shí),不管干擾信息多長(zhǎng),我們要緊緊抓住的是在第二個(gè)或第三個(gè)甚至是第四個(gè)逗號(hào)后找出的謂語(yǔ),看其是否與主語(yǔ)的數(shù)相吻合。
