據(jù)報(bào)道有60％的利潤。
應(yīng)改寫成：Sixty per cent profit...
1345 kilograms force was applied at the center point of the bar.
試驗(yàn)時，在桿的中點(diǎn)加了1345公斤力。
可改成When tested, a force of l345 kg was applied...
這些詞相對比較大了，屬于big words ，但在句子中使用得恰到好處，所以并沒有炫耀詞匯量之嫌。這也證明了，用詞不在于大小，關(guān)鍵是用在句子里是否恰當(dāng)。
有一個句子是：這只是故事的一半（but that was only part of the story）。為什么喜歡這句子？因?yàn)槊绹幕钣憛挼氖侨嗽埔嘣�，最歡迎的是critical thinking。因此，如果你說這只是故事的一半，那么他就很喜歡你的全面思維。

那么，考生如何吸引住考官的注意力呢？對于一個觀點(diǎn)，可以使用不同的詞匯進(jìn)行解釋、強(qiáng)化。
如果舉一個例子，那正文部分就是一個段落；如果舉兩個例子，那么正文部分就是兩個段落。
其中A選項(xiàng)和原句的劃線部分一樣，如果考生認(rèn)為原句劃線部分表達(dá)沒有問題就選A，如果認(rèn)為A不夠完美，就從B、C、D、E中尋找正確答案。
D選項(xiàng)里的will和句中的過去時態(tài)沖突，應(yīng)改為would。
只有B和E符合要求。但在E中，首先是主謂不一致，主語是integrity；其次動詞應(yīng)該是rests on而不是rest on。（C也犯了同樣的錯誤；同時，the requirements純屬多余。）
下面例子是關(guān)于房地產(chǎn)生意的：
