老美常常會(huì)說 be bogged down on something, 原指的陷在不可自拔 (bog 原意指泥淖、沼澤, 當(dāng)動(dòng)詞用指陷入泥淖中) 但我喜歡把片語翻成被某件事搞得焦頭爛額. 例如每次期中考試要來的時(shí)候, 班上就會(huì)聽到有人說, \"I\'m really bogged down with school.\" (我被學(xué)校的事情搞得焦頭爛額了). 在 \"Bring it on\" 這部電影當(dāng)中, 女主角啦啦隊(duì)的事情被搞得是焦頭爛額, 她這么說的喔, \"I\'m so bogged down on this.\"

10. I\'m jinxed.

我被咀咒了.

以前我都覺得中國(guó)人很迷信, 但后來來到美國(guó)之后這段我發(fā)覺老美其實(shí)也不比差, 或許這人類的本能吧! 例如部電影中女主角一直覺得她被咀咒了, 她就一直重覆地說, \"I\'m jinxed.\" \"I\'m cursed.\" 原因無它, 只她在 cheerleading camp (啦啦隊(duì)夏令營(yíng)) 時(shí)把一件象徵性的物品給掉在地上, 而傳說中你只要不小心把它掉在地上, 它就會(huì)為你帶來壞運(yùn).
