詞匯教學(xué)不僅僅要讓學(xué)生掌握語音、語義及其在文中的用法，還要讓學(xué)生知道其正確的搭配關(guān)系和形式以及詞的語法特征，更要讓學(xué)生掌握詞的各種規(guī)則，如構(gòu)詞規(guī)則、使用規(guī)則，甚至要讓學(xué)生掌握在詞背后的文化內(nèi)涵，以期達到讓學(xué)生掌握詞匯、使用詞匯并會據(jù)此自我學(xué)習(xí)、自我擴充詞匯的目的。因此在英語教學(xué)過程中如何有效地進行詞匯教學(xué)，從而培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的思維能力，使學(xué)生主動、自覺地記單詞，是我們每個教師應(yīng)該不斷認真思考的一個問題。根據(jù)我多年的英語教學(xué)實踐，結(jié)合實際教學(xué)中出現(xiàn)的問題，我想談?wù)剬τ⒄Z教學(xué)中詞匯教學(xué)的一些思考和嘗試。

一、詞匯教學(xué)的重要性

【例】The decision, made by the board of directors, is the result of collective agreement. 董事會做出決定的結(jié)果是集體同意。

【例】A congressional representative needs a large staff. 一名國會代表需要一大批工作人員。

【例】Many bacteria lack flagella and cannot move about by their own power. 很多細菌沒有鞭毛，不能靠自身的力量移動。
